Port pick up
As usual our representative will be waiting for you in front of the exit door upon your ship arrival to pick you up from Safaga port to our modern air-conditioned bus. Ascend the bus and get ready to start the journey. Approx. 3 hours and you will be switching from the Red Sea to the Nile. The sight of the Eastern desert from your window is not to miss Tours from Safaga to Luxor
Karnak Temple Complex
Our first scheduled treasure in our tour, and the most famous actually. Karnak is an ancient temple precinct located on the east bank of the Nile River. It covers an area larger than some ancient cities (2 km2). Dedicated to ‘Amun’, the complex’s main structure is the largest place of worship ever built. Explore the features in Karnak that make it the most impressive of all ancient sites in Egypt.
Lunch time
Time to have an Egyptian lunch at a quality air-conditioned restaurant. Taste a typical traditional lunch and tell us your opinion.
Two colossal statues of Amenhotep III
After lunch we will first stop at the Colossi of Memnon, one of the main attractions of the West Bank of Luxor. There are two huge ruined statues, around 17m high. Those were cut from two massive granite blocks and carved to represent the Pharaoh Amenhotep III. Listen to our tour guide to know why they are named ‘Colossi of Memnon’.
Valley of the Kings
Do you hear of Valley of the Kings before? It is the most famed collection of such elaborate tombs which lies on the Nile’s west bank. The royal burial ground for pharaohs as well as queens that amounted to 62 tombs without mentioning the dazzling treasures of the King Tut-Ench-Amun like the golden masks and other accessories. Do those dozen tombs represent all that would be found in the valley? No certain answer. More mysteries await.
Hatshepsut Temple
The only temple that belongs to a woman. Explore the mortuary temple of the first great woman in recorded history. Her name was Hatshepsut and she ruled as Pharaoh for fifteen years. Her temple at Deir el Bahari is one of the most beautiful temples in Egypt that she called “Most Sacred of Sacred Places”. Observe how the walls were illustrated with a colorful account of the trading expedition to Punt, featuring images of ships and of the marching army. From her drawings we can see that the expedition brought back many wonderful things including gold, ebony, animal skins, baboons and refined trees that were then planted around the temple. The walls depict also drawings of the queen itself in different positions, standing, lying and kneeing.

Spectacular Sound and Light Show at Karnak Temple
If you are so keen on the way of life of the ancient world for thousands of years, then this historical show is the very thing. The splendid Sound and Light production will take about 75 minutes. The multimedia performance will start with a flashback to the dramatic history of Thebes; the capital of the ancient world. Then you will walk among the impressive obelisks of the Karnak Temple. Finally you will marvel at the ghostly reflections of the temple in the calm waters and the Sacred Lake.
The treasury tomb of King Tut-Ench-Amun
Among the 63 tombs found in Valley of the Kings there is a tomb that had lain nearly undisturbed for over 3000 years. What lay within astounded the world when it was discovered in 1922. It was actually the tomb of the king for whom the scientists had spent so many years in search; the mysterious boy king Tut-Ench –Amun, respectively. Descend 16 steps and go through a long passage till you reach the Antechamber. Proceed to the Annex or turn right to the Burial Chamber where the sarcophagus of the Boy King lies. The treasury room is the full stop of our tiring journey.
Felucca in Nile
After all that watching and wandering through the past, you may need now to breath-in fresh air. Sailing down the flow water of the Nile looks not bad. Try watching the ancient city from a different sight when you see the uncountable massive statues extended in front of your eyes as they are coming closer to you. Turn your head to the surface of the clear water to see reflection of the sun rays on it.
